Plot[]

Ruby is anxious on her first day of kindergarten so Cheryl stays with her. Jim accuses Cheryl of not having the emotional strength required to leave her but proves himself wrong when he too can't bear to go. However, Jim takes things to far and transfers Ruby to another school.

Cold Open[]

The episode begins with Jim reading a newspaper. Cheryl then walks in, and asks why Jim's isn't playing with his kids, Ruby and Gracie. He tells her the that he is playing the "Frozen Game," which Jim uses to get the girls to stop bothering him. Cheryl tells Jim his game is similar to Hammock Guy, but Jim disagrees and says the difference is in the location. Gracie and Ruby come back from the front yard, and ask if he thawed out, which Jim acts as he is cold, and tells them to play harder.

Jim then asks what Cheryl's making for supper, so Cheryl puts off making it, and sit on the couch to read a book. Jim ironically says that it's fun playing with the kids.

After the Intro[]

Jim enters the kitchen holding Kyle, asking Ruby if he likes his tie he'll wear to take Ruby to kindergarten. Cheryl jokingly says that maybe they'll be in the same class. Dana then enters the room with sunglasses on, and asks Jim if she looks tired, due to the fact that she was talking to Andy on the phone. Ruby tells Dana that it's her first day of kindergarten, and Dana tells her that she is excited as well, calling her a big girl. Gracie blurts out that she has a v*gina, and then Dana says she has one too. She tells Gracie that because of that we have to work twice as hard as a man to make twice as much money. Cheryl dismisses the kids to watch TV. Dana tells Cheryl, that Andy and Carrie had a fight over a hair brush, and that Carrie moved back into her own apartment.
